The Importance of Being Earnest

The Chesterton Academy presents The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde.

The Importance of Being Earnest, first performed in 1895, is a comedy that satirizes Victorian society's mannerisms and social habits. It is set in England during the late 19th century, where two young men, Jack Worthing and Algernon Moncrieff, take on fictional identities to avoid social obligations. The plot thickens with mistaken identities, creative and funny wordplay, and humorous interpretations of the social norms of the time.
